desipramine has been researched along with Trigeminal Neuralgia in 2 studies
Desipramine: A tricyclic dibenzazepine compound that potentiates neurotransmission. Desipramine selectively blocks reuptake of norepinephrine from the neural synapse, and also appears to impair serotonin transport. This compound also possesses minor anticholinergic activity, through its affinity to muscarinic receptors.
desipramine : A dibenzoazepine consisting of 10,11-dihydro-5H-dibenzo[b,f]azepine substituted on nitrogen with a 3-(methylamino)propyl group.
Trigeminal Neuralgia: A syndrome characterized by recurrent episodes of excruciating pain lasting several seconds or longer in the sensory distribution of the TRIGEMINAL NERVE. Pain may be initiated by stimulation of trigger points on the face, lips, or gums or by movement of facial muscles or chewing. Associated conditions include MULTIPLE SCLEROSIS, vascular anomalies, ANEURYSMS, and neoplasms. (Adams et al., Principles of Neurology, 6th ed, p187)

"If sinusitis is not found to be present, the otolaryngologist must help the patient understand this point, reassure him or her that the otolaryngologist will still be vigilant for the development of sinusitis, and refocus the history and workup for some other cause of the recurrent and persistent paranasal pain." | 1.29 | Treatment of chronic paranasal sinus pain with minimal sinus disease.
