desipramine and Depression, Involutional

desipramine has been researched along with Depression, Involutional in 44 studies

Desipramine: A tricyclic dibenzazepine compound that potentiates neurotransmission. Desipramine selectively blocks reuptake of norepinephrine from the neural synapse, and also appears to impair serotonin transport. This compound also possesses minor anticholinergic activity, through its affinity to muscarinic receptors.
desipramine : A dibenzoazepine consisting of 10,11-dihydro-5H-dibenzo[b,f]azepine substituted on nitrogen with a 3-(methylamino)propyl group.

Depression, Involutional: Form of depression in those MIDDLE AGE with feelings of ANXIETY.
