desipramine and Benign Neoplasms

desipramine has been researched along with Benign Neoplasms in 7 studies

Desipramine: A tricyclic dibenzazepine compound that potentiates neurotransmission. Desipramine selectively blocks reuptake of norepinephrine from the neural synapse, and also appears to impair serotonin transport. This compound also possesses minor anticholinergic activity, through its affinity to muscarinic receptors.
desipramine : A dibenzoazepine consisting of 10,11-dihydro-5H-dibenzo[b,f]azepine substituted on nitrogen with a 3-(methylamino)propyl group.

Research Excerpts

" In addition, characterization of the UGT1A locus and genetic studies directed at understanding the role of bilirubin glucuronidation and the biochemical basis of the clinical symptoms found in unconjugated hyperbilirubinemia have uncovered the structural gene polymorphisms associated with Crigler-Najjar's and Gilbert's syndrome."4.80Human UDP-glucuronosyltransferases: metabolism, expression, and disease. "LY2603618 is a selective inhibitor of deoxyribonucleic acid damage checkpoint kinase 1 (CHK1) and has been in development for the enhancement of chemotherapeutic agents."2.80Evaluation of the likelihood of a selective CHK1 inhibitor (LY2603618) to inhibit CYP2D6 with desipramine as a probe substrate in cancer patients.
