debrisoquin and Local Neoplasm Recurrence

debrisoquin has been researched along with Local Neoplasm Recurrence in 1 studies

Debrisoquin: An adrenergic neuron-blocking drug similar in effects to GUANETHIDINE. It is also noteworthy in being a substrate for a polymorphic cytochrome P-450 enzyme. Persons with certain isoforms of this enzyme are unable to properly metabolize this and many other clinically important drugs. They are commonly referred to as having a debrisoquin 4-hydroxylase polymorphism.

" Debrisoquine, mephenytoin, and dapsone were used as in vivo probes for the activities of P4502D6, 2CMP, and 3A4, respectively, as well as dapsone for N-acetyltransferase, in order to assess the relationship between such activities and the relative risk of recurrence of bladder cancer."7.68The ability to 4-hydroxylate debrisoquine is related to recurrence of bladder cancer.
