debrisoquin and Congenital Adrenal Hyperplasia

debrisoquin has been researched along with Congenital Adrenal Hyperplasia in 1 studies

Debrisoquin: An adrenergic neuron-blocking drug similar in effects to GUANETHIDINE. It is also noteworthy in being a substrate for a polymorphic cytochrome P-450 enzyme. Persons with certain isoforms of this enzyme are unable to properly metabolize this and many other clinically important drugs. They are commonly referred to as having a debrisoquin 4-hydroxylase polymorphism.

"Antipyrine salivary clearance and half-life and the rate of formation of three principal metabolites of antipyrine (4-hydroxyantipyrine, 3-hydroxymethylantipyrine and norantipyrine) were assessed in nine children with congenital adrenal hyperplasia, six of whom were salt-losers and three of whom were non-salt-losers."7.67Antipyrine clearance and metabolite formation in children with congenital adrenal hyperplasia.
