dantrolene has been researched along with Movement Disorders in 3 studies
Dantrolene: Skeletal muscle relaxant that acts by interfering with excitation-contraction coupling in the muscle fiber. It is used in spasticity and other neuromuscular abnormalities. Although the mechanism of action is probably not central, dantrolene is usually grouped with the central muscle relaxants.
dantrolene : The hydrazone resulting from the formal condensation of 5-(4-nitrophenyl)furfural with 1-aminohydantoin. A ryanodine receptor antagonist used for the relief of chronic severe spasticity and malignant hyperthermia.
Movement Disorders: Syndromes which feature DYSKINESIAS as a cardinal manifestation of the disease process. Included in this category are degenerative, hereditary, post-infectious, medication-induced, post-inflammatory, and post-traumatic conditions.

"A single oral dose of dantrolene (100--150 mg) given at least 2 hr pre-operatively has been found to reduce significantly the strength of muscular fasciculations, the hyperkalaemia and the incidence of muscle pains following suxamethonium (from 56 to 4%) in a series of forty-eight patients compared with controls." | 5.04 | Dantrolene and suxamethonium. The effect of pre-operative dantrolene on the action of suxamethonium. ( Collier, CB, 1979) |
"In 22 patients with idiopathic Parkinson's disease we observed a sudden worsening of motor symptoms and severe akinesia during hospitalization because of infectious diseases, bone fractures, surgery for gastrointestinal tract diseases, and iatrogenic causes." | 1.32 | Acute akinesia or akinetic crisis in Parkinson's disease.
