chlorpropamide and Drug-Induced Stevens Johnson Syndrome

chlorpropamide has been researched along with Drug-Induced Stevens Johnson Syndrome in 4 studies

Chlorpropamide: A sulfonylurea hypoglycemic agent used in the treatment of non-insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus not responding to dietary modification. (From Martindale, The Extra Pharmacopoeia, 30th ed, p277)
chlorpropamide : An N-sulfonylurea that is urea in which a hydrogen attached to one of the nitrogens is substituted by 4-chlorobenzenesulfonyl group and a hydrogen attached to the other nitrogen is substituted by propyl group. Chlorpropamide is a hypoglycaemic agent used in the treatment of type 2 (non-insulin-dependent) diabetes mellitus not responding to dietary modification.

Research Excerpts

ExcerptRelevanceReference
" The dramatic response of our patients to cyclophosphamide, which is known to inhibit cell-mediated cytotoxicity by inhibiting both the recognition and lethal hit stages, together with the rapid regrowth of the epidermis within 4 days to a week in patients who received adequate dosage of the drug, supports the preceding concepts."1.28Efficacy of cyclophosphamide in toxic epidermal necrolysis. Clinical and pathophysiologic aspects. ( Allen, SG; Heng, MC, 1991)
