chlorpromazine and Armstrong Syndrome

chlorpromazine has been researched along with Armstrong Syndrome in 2 studies

Chlorpromazine: The prototypical phenothiazine antipsychotic drug. Like the other drugs in this class chlorpromazine's antipsychotic actions are thought to be due to long-term adaptation by the brain to blocking DOPAMINE RECEPTORS. Chlorpromazine has several other actions and therapeutic uses, including as an antiemetic and in the treatment of intractable hiccup.
chlorpromazine : A substituted phenothiazine in which the ring nitrogen at position 10 is attached to C-3 of an N,N-dimethylpropanamine moiety.

Research Excerpts

ExcerptRelevanceReference
"The cellular immune response to lymphocytic choriomeningitis (LCM) virus in germfree adult and conventional (Cv) suckling mice with undeveloped immune systems and in Cv adult mice with developed immune systems was suppressed by a single large, sublethal dose of the calmodulin antagonistic chlorpromazine and stimulated by a 100-times smaller dose administered intraperitoneally one day before the intracerebral virus infection."1.28Effect of chlorpromazine (CPZ) on the course of LCM virus infection in mice with developed and undeveloped immune system.
