carmustine and Carcinoma, Ehrlich Tumor

carmustine has been researched along with Carcinoma, Ehrlich Tumor in 11 studies

Carmustine: A cell-cycle phase nonspecific alkylating antineoplastic agent. It is used in the treatment of brain tumors and various other malignant neoplasms. (From Martindale, The Extra Pharmacopoeia, 30th ed, p462) This substance may reasonably be anticipated to be a carcinogen according to the Fourth Annual Report on Carcinogens (NTP 85-002, 1985). (From Merck Index, 11th ed)
carmustine : A member of the class of N-nitrosoureas that is 1,3-bis(2-chloroethyl)urea in which one of the nitrogens is substituted by a nitroso group.

Carcinoma, Ehrlich Tumor: A transplantable, poorly differentiated malignant tumor which appeared originally as a spontaneous breast carcinoma in a mouse. It grows in both solid and ascitic forms.

Research Excerpts

ExcerptRelevanceReference
"The protein A24 content of Ehrlich ascites tumor cells increased several-fold following treatment of cell cultures with nitrosoureas, but did not increase when other alkylating agents not containing carbamoyl moieties were tested."1.27Inhibition of protein A24 lyase by nitrosoureas.
