buspirone and Syndrome

buspirone has been researched along with Syndrome in 7 studies

Buspirone: An anxiolytic agent and serotonin receptor agonist belonging to the azaspirodecanedione class of compounds. Its structure is unrelated to those of the BENZODIAZAPINES, but it has an efficacy comparable to DIAZEPAM.
buspirone : An azaspiro compound that is 8-azaspiro[4.5]decane-7,9-dione substituted at the nitrogen atom by a 4-(piperazin-1-yl)butyl group which in turn is substituted by a pyrimidin-2-yl group at the N(4) position.

Syndrome: A characteristic symptom complex.

"Dextromethorphan, a noncompetitive blocker of the N-methyl-D-aspartate (NMDA) type of glutamate receptor, at 45, 60 and 75 mg/kg, ip doses induced a behavioural syndrome characterised by reciprocal forepaw treading, lateral head-weaving, hind-limb abduction and flat body posture."7.73Involvement of central serotonergic systems in dextromethorphan-induced behavioural syndrome in rats. " The interaction between tianeptine and drugs known to interfere with the uptake or release of serotonin (sertraline, buspirone, D-norfenfluramine) was then studied and, to ascertain the in vivo pharmacological relevance of tianeptine's effects, its ability to reduce the serotoninergic syndrome was evaluated."3.68In vivo studies on the enhancement of serotonin reuptake by tianeptine.
