bupivacaine has been researched along with Rhabdomyosarcoma in 3 studies
Bupivacaine: A widely used local anesthetic agent.
1-butyl-N-(2,6-dimethylphenyl)piperidine-2-carboxamide : A piperidinecarboxamide obtained by formal condensation of the carboxy group of N-butylpipecolic acid with the amino group of 2,6-dimethylaniline.
bupivacaine : A racemate composed of equimolar amounts of dextrobupivacaine and levobupivacaine. Used (in the form of its hydrochloride hydrate) as a local anaesthetic.
Rhabdomyosarcoma: A malignant solid tumor arising from mesenchymal tissues which normally differentiate to form striated muscle. It can occur in a wide variety of sites. It is divided into four distinct types: pleomorphic, predominantly in male adults; alveolar (RHABDOMYOSARCOMA, ALVEOLAR), mainly in adolescents and young adults; embryonal (RHABDOMYOSARCOMA, EMBRYONAL), predominantly in infants and children; and botryoidal, also in young children. It is one of the most frequently occurring soft tissue sarcomas and the most common in children under 15. " We present the case of the youngest reported child to have received intrathecal analgesia for terminal care: a 3-year-old boy with advanced pelvic rhabdomyosarcoma, whose refractory pain was managed effectively with an intrathecal infusion of bupivacaine and preservative-free clonidine." | 3.78 | Intrathecal infusion of bupivacaine and clonidine provides effective analgesia in a terminally ill child. ( Lauder, G; Whyte, E, 2012) |
"Ropivacaine is assumed to be less toxic than bupivacaine but there are no reports concerning its long-term use in paediatric anaesthesia." | 1.30 | Ropivacaine and bupivacaine for long-term epidural infusion in a small child.
