bupivacaine and Abnormality, Heart

bupivacaine has been researched along with Abnormality, Heart in 8 studies

Bupivacaine: A widely used local anesthetic agent.
1-butyl-N-(2,6-dimethylphenyl)piperidine-2-carboxamide : A piperidinecarboxamide obtained by formal condensation of the carboxy group of N-butylpipecolic acid with the amino group of 2,6-dimethylaniline.
bupivacaine : A racemate composed of equimolar amounts of dextrobupivacaine and levobupivacaine. Used (in the form of its hydrochloride hydrate) as a local anaesthetic.

Research Excerpts

ExcerptRelevanceReference
"The data suggest that SA with 1 mg·kg(-1) of either hyperbaric tetracaine or bupivacaine can be used safely as the sole anesthetic for inguinal hernia repair in infants with noncyanotic CHD even when fluid restricted and apparently causes minimal respiratory complications in these infants."3.78Hemodynamic changes during spinal anesthesia in premature infants with congenital heart disease undergoing inguinal hernia correction. ( Arnon, S; Johnson, VM; Sethna, NF; Shenkman, Z; Zurakowski, D, 2012)
" The study aimed to provide pharmacokinetic data that are limited in these age groups, and to identify any adverse effects of intercostal nerve block in infancy."1.28Pharmacokinetics of bupivacaine following intraoperative intercostal nerve block in neonates and in infants aged less than 6 months. ( Booker, PD; Bricker, SR; Telford, RJ, 1989)
