betaxolol and Ventricular Fibrillation

betaxolol has been researched along with Ventricular Fibrillation in 1 studies

Ventricular Fibrillation: A potentially lethal cardiac arrhythmia that is characterized by uncoordinated extremely rapid firing of electrical impulses (400-600/min) in HEART VENTRICLES. Such asynchronous ventricular quivering or fibrillation prevents any effective cardiac output and results in unconsciousness (SYNCOPE). It is one of the major electrocardiographic patterns seen with CARDIAC ARREST.

"To assess the effect of beta blockade on left ventricular (LV) performance in patients with LV dysfunction and stable angina pectoris, 18 subjects taking a placebo followed by incremental doses of the cardioselective beta-adrenergic blocking agent betaxolol (5, 10, 20, 40 and 80 mg/day) were studied."9.06Effect of beta blockade with betaxolol on left ventricular systolic function in chronic stable angina pectoris and left ventricular dysfunction.
