In this paper, the effect of beta-elemene in inhibition of angiogenesis, inhibition of thrombus formation, improvement of hemorheology, protection against oxidative injuries, anti-inflammation and suppression of restenosis after percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty (PTCA) are summarized and reviewed.
