berotek and Ocular Hypertension

berotek has been researched along with Ocular Hypertension in 1 studies

Fenoterol: A synthetic adrenergic beta-2 agonist that is used as a bronchodilator and tocolytic.
fenoterol : A member of the class resorcinols that is 5-(1-hydroxyethyl)benzene-1,3-diol in which one of the methyl hydrogens is replaced by a 1-(4-hydroxyphenyl)propan-2-amino group. A beta2-adrenergic agonist, it is used (as the hydrobromide salt) as a bronchodilator in the management of reversible airway obstruction.

Ocular Hypertension: A condition in which the intraocular pressure is elevated above normal and which may lead to glaucoma.

"Intraocular pressure was measured by pneumatonometry."1.30Repeated topical administration of fenoterol in rabbit reverses its initial ocular hypotensive effect and decreases sensitivity of adenylyl cyclase in ciliary processes to stimulatory agents. ( Cepelík, J; Hynie, S, 1997)
