benzoic acid and Granulomatous Disease, Chronic

benzoic acid has been researched along with Granulomatous Disease, Chronic in 2 studies

Benzoic Acid: A fungistatic compound that is widely used as a food preservative. It is conjugated to GLYCINE in the liver and excreted as hippuric acid.
benzoic acid : A compound comprising a benzene ring core carrying a carboxylic acid substituent.
aromatic carboxylic acid : Any carboxylic acid in which the carboxy group is directly bonded to an aromatic ring.

Granulomatous Disease, Chronic: A defect of leukocyte function in which phagocytic cells ingest but fail to digest bacteria, resulting in recurring bacterial infections with granuloma formation. When chronic granulomatous disease is caused by mutations in the CYBB gene, the condition is inherited in an X-linked recessive pattern. When chronic granulomatous disease is caused by CYBA, NCF1, NCF2, or NCF4 gene mutations, the condition is inherited in an autosomal recessive pattern.
