albuterol and Allergy, Latex

albuterol has been researched along with Allergy, Latex in 3 studies

Albuterol: A short-acting beta-2 adrenergic agonist that is primarily used as a bronchodilator agent to treat ASTHMA. Albuterol is prepared as a racemic mixture of R(-) and S(+) stereoisomers. The stereospecific preparation of R(-) isomer of albuterol is referred to as levalbuterol.
albuterol : A member of the class of phenylethanolamines that is 4-(2-amino-1-hydroxyethyl)-2-(hydroxymethyl)phenol having a tert-butyl group attached to the nirogen atom. It acts as a beta-adrenergic agonist used in the treatment of asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).

Research Excerpts

ExcerptRelevanceReference
"Twenty-three subjects with latex allergy (history and positive skin test response, positive serologic test response, or both) and 3 atopic control subjects not allergic to latex (history and negative skin test response, negative serologic test response, or both) were sequentially exposed to air, control cornstarch, and then progressive 2-fold increments of LACs in a single-masked fashion."1.31A hooded exposure chamber method for semiquantitative latex aeroallergen challenge.
