6,7-dimethoxy-3-phenylquinoxaline: ATP-competitive inhibitor of receptor kinase

Rhabdoid Tumor: A rare but highly lethal childhood tumor found almost exclusively in infants. Histopathologically, it resembles RHABDOMYOSARCOMA but the tumor cells are not of myogenic origin. Although it arises primarily in the kidney, it may be found in other parts of the body. The rhabdoid cytomorphology is believed to be the expression of a very primitive malignant cell. "The authors studied the effect of genistein (broad-spectrum GFR-TK inhibitor), AG1478 (EGFR-specific GFR-TK inhibitor), and AG1295 (PDGFR-specific GFR-TK inhibitor) on proliferation and colonigenic growth of rhabdoid tumor of the kidney and Wilms' tumor cell lines: G-401 and SK-NEP-1, respectively."3.70Receptor tyrosine kinase inhibition suppresses growth of pediatric renal tumor cells in vitro.
