Journal of neural transmission (Vienna, Austria : 1996), 2008, Volume: 115, Issue:6 The PKA activator, 8-Br-cAMP, dose-dependently reduced the immobility time in the forced swim test in rats. This effect was antagonized by co-treatment with selective PKA inhibitor Rp-cAMPS. This is the first demonstration of the antidepressant-like activity of the PKA activator.
