Isoelectric focusing on cellulose acetate membranes: an up-date on materials and methods.
    Electrophoresis, 1989, Volume: 10, Issue:7

The method of isoelectric focusing proteins on cellulose acetate membranes has been improved by the introduction of: (i) plastic-backed membranes, (ii) a commercially available Mini-IEF cell and (iii) sensitive colloidal gold staining. The improved methodology is described with applications for clinical laboratories.
