acemetacin and Musculoskeletal Diseases

acemetacin has been researched along with Musculoskeletal Diseases in 1 studies

acemetacin : A carboxylic ester that is the carboxymethyl ester of indometacin. A non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug, it is used in the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, and low back pain, as well as for postoperative pain and inflammation. Its activity is due to both acemetacin and its major metabolite, indometacin.

Musculoskeletal Diseases: Diseases of the muscles and their associated ligaments and other connective tissue and of the bones and cartilage viewed collectively.

" In this post hoc analysis of a prospective, one-arm clinical study of a short-term treatment with acemetacin, a total of 406 patients with pain because of various musculoskeletal diseases with or without joint inflammation was evaluated for the influence of body mass index (BMI) on the reduction of pain at rest, pain at movement and for mobility restriction between visits one and three (primary outcome parameters)."9.12Lack of influence of body mass index on efficacy and tolerance of acemetacin in short-term treatment of musculoskeletal diseases.
