4-phenylbutyric acid has been researched along with Acute Lung Injury in 2 studies
4-phenylbutyric acid: RN refers to the parent cpd
4-phenylbutyric acid : A monocarboxylic acid the structure of which is that of butyric acid substituted with a phenyl group at C-4. It is a histone deacetylase inhibitor that displays anticancer activity. It inhibits cell proliferation, invasion and migration and induces apoptosis in glioma cells. It also inhibits protein isoprenylation, depletes plasma glutamine, increases production of foetal haemoglobin through transcriptional activation of the gamma-globin gene and affects hPPARgamma activation.
Acute Lung Injury: A condition of lung damage that is characterized by bilateral pulmonary infiltrates (PULMONARY EDEMA) rich in NEUTROPHILS, and in the absence of clinical HEART FAILURE. This can represent a spectrum of pulmonary lesions, endothelial and epithelial, due to numerous factors (physical, chemical, or biological).

"To identify the cellular mechanism of lung inflammation during lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-induced mouse model of ALI, we investigated the influence of classic ER stress inhibitor 4-phenyl butyric acid (4-PBA) on ER stress and autophagy, which partially affect the activation of inflammation, both in LPS-induced ALI mouse model and human alveolar epithelial cell model." | 1.46 | 4-PBA inhibits LPS-induced inflammation through regulating ER stress and autophagy in acute lung injury models.
