2-propanol and Arachnoid Cysts

2-propanol has been researched along with Arachnoid Cysts in 2 studies

2-Propanol: An isomer of 1-PROPANOL. It is a colorless liquid having disinfectant properties. It is used in the manufacture of acetone and its derivatives and as a solvent. Topically, it is used as an antiseptic.
propan-2-ol : A secondary alcohol that is propane in which one of the hydrogens attached to the central carbon is substituted by a hydroxy group.

Arachnoid Cysts: Intracranial or spinal cavities containing a cerebrospinal-like fluid, the wall of which is composed of arachnoidal cells. They are most often developmental or related to trauma. Intracranial arachnoid cysts usually occur adjacent to arachnoidal cistern and may present with HYDROCEPHALUS; HEADACHE; SEIZURES; and focal neurologic signs. Research Excerpts

"The results remind us that ocular coloboma may be accompanied by arachnoid cyst and may be associated with SOX2 mutation, which will be helpful for improving diagnosis and patient care."1.35Novel SOX2 mutation associated with ocular coloboma in a Chinese family.
