Surface plasmon resonance sensor for antibiotics detection based on photo-initiated polymerization molecularly imprinted array.
    Talanta, 2016, Dec-01, Volume: 161

A surface plasmon resonance (SPR) sensor combined with nanoscale molecularly imprinted polymer (MIP) film as recognition element was developed for selective detection of the antibiotic ciprofloxacin (CIP). The MIP film on SPR sensor chip was prepared by in situ photo-initiated polymerization method which has the advantages of short polymerization time, controllable thickness and good uniformity. The surface wettability and thickness of MIP film on SPR sensor chip were characterized by static contact angle measurement and stylus profiler. The MIP-SPR sensor exhibited high selectivity, sensitivity and good stability for ciprofloxacin. The imprinting factors of the MIP-SPR sensor to ciprofloxacin and its structural analogue ofloxacin were 2.63 and 3.80, which is much higher than those to azithromycin, dopamine and penicillin. The SPR response had good linear relation with CIP concentration over the range 10
