A new sesquiterpene from Kalimeris integrifolia.

    A new sesquiterpene kalinturoside A (1), and 17 known compounds friedelan-3-ol (2), 24-ethyl-5a-cholesta-7, 22(E)-dien-3-one (3), friedelin (4), syringaresinol (5), α-spinasterol (6), ciwujiatone (7), syringic acid (8), scopoletin (9), apocynin (10), 1-(3-hydroxy-4, 5-dimethoxyphenyl)ethan-1-one (11), apigenin (12), 5-hydroxymethylfurfural (13), stigmasterol-3-O-β-d-glucopy-ranoside (14), bidenoside C (15), citrusin (16), irioresinol A (17) and syringaresinol-4-O-β-d-glucopyranoside (18) were isolated from the herbs of Kalimeris integrifolia. The structures of these compounds were elucidated using spectroscopic techniques such as NMR and MS. All of the compounds were isolated from this genus for the first time.

[Study on chemical constituents of Carthamus tinctorius].

    To investigate the chemical constituents in water-soluble fraction of Carthamus tinctorius.. Compounds were isolated and purified by macroporus resin, silica gel, Sephadex LH-20 column chromatography and preparative HPLC. The structures were identified by spectral analysis.. Twelve compounds were isolated and identified as 4-Hydroxybenzaldehyde (1); E-1-(4'-hydroxypheny) -but-1-en-3-one (2); 3-Formylindole (3); 2-Acetyl-5-hydroxymethylfuran (4); p-Hydroxycinnamic acid (5); (6R, 7E, 9R) -9-hydroxy-4,7-megastigmandien-3-one (6); 4-hydroxyacetophenone (7); 5-(hydroxymethyl) -2-furaldehyde (8); 4-Hydroxybenzoic acid (9); Stigmasterol-3-O-beta-D-glucopyranoside (10); Daucosterol (11); beta-sitosterol (12).. Compounds 1 - 4, 6, 7, 10 are isolated from this plant for the first time.

[Studies on the chemical constituents from Radix Ranunculi Ternate].

    To study the chemical constituents from Radix Ranunculi Ternate.. The compounds were isolated by silica gel, Sephadex LH-20, and ODS column chromatography, and their structures were elucidated by means of spectral analysis.. Eight compounds were isolated and identified as phillygenin (I), bis-(2-ethylhexyl) phthalate (DEHP, II), henicosanoic acid methyl ester (III), 5-hydroxymethyl-furfural (IV), mixture of stigmasterol and sitosterol (V and VI), daucosterol (VII).. Compounds I-III are isolated from the genus for the first time.
