This is common for Mycobacterium tuberculosis, less for other pathogens more difficult to have in mind when facing patients with fever. We report the case of an 84-year-old female patient presenting with fever in the months following antilymphoma chemotherapy, due to bacteremic brucellosis (with a hemophagocytic syndrome) probably latent after primary infection as a child.
