On the basis of physicochemical properties, spectroscopy (UV, IR, NMR, MS, CD, GC) and chemical degradation, two known compounds were identified as palmitic acid (VIII) and daucosterol (IX), one new compound was elucidated as (2S,3S)-(-)-taxifolin-3-O-beta-D-glucopyranoside (X).
