Pterostilbene (PTE), a dietary derivative of resveratrol, displayed pleiotropic health-promoting activities. This study aimed to explore the metabolic profiles and species differences of the phase I metabolism of PTE and to investigate subsequent detoxification after PTE bioactivation.
