Effects

Octacalcium phosphate (OCP) has been suggested as a precursor of biological apatite in bone, dentin, and cementum. OCP has been developed as a bone graft substitute. Preclinical studies using OCP have reported superior bone formation ability compared with β-tricalcium phosphate.
