Description

Nicanartine is a synthetic analog of carnitine that has been shown to have a number of pharmacological effects, including anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and neuroprotective properties. It is currently being investigated as a potential treatment for a variety of conditions, including Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease, and stroke. Nicanartine is thought to exert its effects by modulating the activity of various enzymes and signaling pathways, including the carnitine palmitoyltransferase (CPT) system, the mitochondrial respiratory chain, and the nuclear factor-kappa B (NF-κB) pathway.'
