Fensulfothion sulfide is a metabolite of the insecticide fensulfothion. It is formed by the oxidation of the sulfur atom in the fensulfothion molecule. Fensulfothion sulfide is less toxic than fensulfothion, but it is still considered to be a pesticide. It is studied to understand its environmental fate and potential effects on human health and the environment. Fensulfothion sulfide is also studied to understand its potential use as a fungicide. It has been shown to have antifungal activity against a number of plant pathogens.'
