Description

Diallyl glycol carbonate (DAGC) is a colorless liquid monomer used in the synthesis of polymers, resins, and coatings. It is prepared by the reaction of glycol carbonate with allyl chloride in the presence of a base. DAGC is a reactive compound that can be polymerized by free radical, cationic, or anionic mechanisms. DAGC polymers exhibit good mechanical properties, thermal stability, and chemical resistance. DAGC is studied because of its potential applications in various fields, including adhesives, sealants, coatings, and biomedical materials. DAGC is also a potential precursor for the synthesis of other functionalized monomers and polymers.'
