gastrin

A family of gastrointestinal peptide hormones that stimulate the secretion of gastric acid. Gastrin is found primarily in three forms: gastrin-34 ('big gastrin'), gastrin-17 ('little gastrin') and gastrin-14 ('minigastrin').
