3-hydroxyoctanoic acidAn 8-carbon, beta-hydroxy fatty acid which may be a marker for primary defects of beta-hydroxy fatty acid metabolism. Repeating unit of poly(3-hydroxyoctanoic acid), a biopolymer used by numerous bacterial species as carbon and energy reserves.3-hydroxyoctanoic acid
3,4-dihydroxybutanoic acidA omega-hydroxy fatty acid that is butyric acid substituted by hydroxy groups at positions 3 and 4 respectively.3,4-dihydroxybutyric acid
beta-hydroxymyristic acidA 3-hydroxy fatty acid that is tetradecanoic (myristic) acid substituted at position 3 by a hydroxy group3-hydroxytetradecanoic acid
beta-hydroxyvaleric acidA short-chain fatty acid that is valeric acid in which one of the methylene hydrogens at position 3 has been replaced by a hydroxy group.3-hydroxypentanoic acid
corynomycolic acidA thirty-two membered mycolic acid consisting of 3-hydroxystearic acid having a tetradecyl group at the 2-position.corynomycolic acid
